An exciting and rare opportunity to join a leading charity in Devizes has arisen for a suitably qualified ACA or ACCA Chief Accountant. Working as part of the management team, you will take responsibility for the finance function and provide support and direction to the Services Director. The role has been newly created to help implement the organisation’s Strategic Plan 2010-2015 and in addition brings crucial objectives that need attention from day one, for example the Implementation of a new accounting package and associated processes.
Working closely with senior management, providing financial support and analysis, candidates must have a well-developed commercial awareness and must be able to take a lead role in having a significant impact on business processes and decisions. With strong financial accounting and problem-solving skills, your decisive attitude to work will be essential to your success in a varied role that encompasses monthly accounting, responsibility for site wide business planning and forecasting as well as the maintenance of internal controls.
