Do you have experience of working within financial services? Have you managed a small team? Are you immediately available or on a short notice period? If yes, then this could be the role for you.
Working for a leading firm in Bristol, our client is looking to recruit an Interim Financial Controller on a 6 month fixed term contract basis to cover maternity. Reporting to the CEO, you will manage a small finance function including qualified accountants showing leadership and direction and ensuring the team meets all its objectives and achieves a high level of customer
service. Your key duties will consist of:
Lead, motivate and develop the team to maintain the nominal ledger, payroll, HMRC returns, management accounting, budgeting, modelling, MI and statutory reporting
Project manage the delivery of accurate statutory financial statements, disclosures and supplementary commentaries including the consolidation of subsidiaries
Undertake ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives including mergers and acquisitions as required
Take responsibility for assigned projects and implementations, ensuring high quality delivery is to the satisfaction of the stakeholders and within the required time frame
Ensure appropriate financial procedures, policies and controls are in place and effectively implemented to secure the assets of the business; continuous development of the Finance function
Operate as a single point of contact for External Audit partners
Be responsible for all financial MI reporting and financial modelling
To be considered, you will a qualified accountant with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience gained in a financial services environment. This exciting role requires a progressive individual with a proven track record. You will be results driven and delivery focused with excellent communication skills. Prince 2 Project Management experience is desirable. There is an immediate start for the successful candidate.
