Our client is a multinational solutions provider and a leader in its area of focus. Covering secondment, our client is looking to recruit a Finance Manager for a period of 12 months. Your key duties and responsibilities will consist of:
- Managing, developing and coaching the accounts payable team
- Monthly reporting pack submission ensuring all information is available for the relevant deadlines
- Overhead management with relevant cost centre managers,and developing a matrix to publish the actual spend against budget
- Financial review sheet management and publication to relevant parties
- Stock reconciliation completed for month close
- Full reconciliation for all material GL accounts and explanation on variances against budget
- Responsible for intercompany process and maintaining good relationships with other business units
- Working with Internal Controls Manager to ensure controls and procedures are kept in line
- Responsible for VAT accounting and monthly reporting to HMRC
Ideally, you will have an Accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent), or part qualified/qualified through experience in a similar reporting role. You will need line management experience and experience of working in partnership with the wider business. You will need to fully understand debits and credits and accounting flows and have the ability to understand balance sheets, cash flow reporting as well as more managerial financial reporting. The successful candidate will need to be able to work as part of a team and to delegate responsibilities, not only to direct reports but also to the wider business. In person, you will have excellent communication skills, be able to manage and develop a team, be conscientious and have strong attention to detail. This role will be commencing in March 2012 for a period of 12 months.
